A little on the streets in Addis. The faded white line that separates the two-lane paved streets is completely ignored. Our driver is often fighting for pole position with three other axles in a space designed for two...When I first saw someone sweeping the streets in Addis I thought they had lost their mind. Cars, trucks and buses compete for workspace with the one trying to keep everything tidy. It's quite a sight.....At first I was bummed by the shadow in the image. Then, I realized it provided a division indicating where she'd been and where she was going...I have found the Ethiopian people here to be very hard working and proud. .
